4. Cadillac ATS
The ATS is so close to the BMW 3-series, you’ll wonder if the BMW is exhausted from constantly checking its rearview mirror. Believe it or not, the compact sports sedan (and handsome coupe) actually steer and handle better than their Teutonic target. They’re serious competition, with rear-wheel drive and three powertrains: a 202-hp four, a 272-hp turbo four (available with a manual), and a 333-hp V-6; all-wheel drive is optional. The options list is like BMW’s, too, with many pricey features.
